    Hitchhiker SPS, Help Identify

    Hello guys,

This thing just popped up like a year ago ... and has been growing ever since ... its finally at a point where I can get a half decent shot of it.

It is attached to a piece of LR, and is really far from the glass, but I never wanted to move it.

Pics are blurry, but you'll get the idea.

Polyps are pink and blue, extended like a koosh ball all day. Skeleton looks like birdsnest ... but it has been growing width wise instead of height wise. Branches haven't been getting longer, I've just been getting more branches.

    Any help is appreciated.

I don't know if its LPS or SPS. Its got a hard branching skeleton ... and the polyps are hairlike ... and fairly long.

I haven't been able to find it on any website, searching either LPS or SPS ... I was hoping someone here might just know what it was.

Its getting big enough that I'm considering fragging it ... just so that I can put a branch under a macro lens lol

from what I've read ... they can let their hair like polyps go ... to start a new colony somewhere else.

Maybe the guy I bought my LR from had a colony in his tank ... and I just got a hair ... thats how tiny it was when it sprouted anyway.
