    Yes, that puppy is parasitic. See the hooks on it's legs. That's to hold on (and hold on tightly) while it sucks blood.

    man i think if anybody seen that on thierr fish they would have a heart attack def if it was that big :eek::eek::-X:-X

    Some harmless chitons can get that big too.

    I have been with sooooo many dangerous animals in my life it's crazy. It truly doesn't faze me. Sharks, wolves, bears, etc.

    The only 2 animals that freak me out are Humboldt Squid (they are freakin' smart and operate as a team like the raptors in Jurassic Park) and Sea Spiders (pycnogonids). You haven't seen anything until you watch one run across your LR at 90 MPH and jump on one of your favorite fish.

    That picture makes me want to setup a species tank...hahaha

    Sounds like an amphipod. Pill bug or rolley polley is probably the best description of them. My friend will has 5-7 in his overflow box we just recently sucked out with a turkey baster.
