Im just wondering what are some of the coolest things you guys have found living on or in your live rock. That you did not no was there when you bought it?

Is it possible to get something really neat that turns out to be a great addition to the tank?

what are some of the most common things i would expect to find when purchasing a developed piece of rock?

 

Well I've gotten a bristle worm. It's about 3" long & harmless. I've seen people get brittle stars. Those are neat too, and also harmless.

 

my fav was the n.wennarae mantis that came in mine.

I read somewhere that people have gotten things like Snowflake Eels and one dude even got a really small Niger Trigger O_O That would be awesome!

 

back in my 30 gallon days I got a jellyfish that lasted a whole oooh 4 days before the filter got em. Was cool as hell to see it swish through the water. Now a days I just pull out bristle worms, I just pulled out an 8'' stretched out worm.

 

I got about 7 baby brittle stars....that's about it besides pods and baby jellyfish (hydroids, the mobile ones, not the little fuzzy sticks.)

 

coolest thing ever was the harlequin shrimp well at least until we found out it only eats starfish poor little starfish... oh well i guess, now i let the starfish live in the sump and cut off a leg every other week (well i dont do that part, but the bf does cuz i dont think i could do it myself) it really doesnt seem to mind too much, they grow back
