I need a new part for my return pump fast so i was wondering how much it would cost for the manufacturer to overnight it in an envelope. its a lot less than a pound and definitely fits in an envelope

    Thanks,
    Ryan

think it all depends on size and distance, but if it's for a return pump it should be fairly cheap

Find out what delivery company is the manufacturer using and look up shipping rates on their website.

Using the zip code for Columbus, OH (43235):

Up to 13 oz can be shipped 1st class. That would be roughly $3.25.
It it's under 1 lb it can be shipped either parcel post or priority mail.

Parcel would be roughly $4.90 (up to 7 days)
Priority under 1 lb is flat rate of $4.95 (2-3 days)
Express Mail (overnight) gets pricey - about $25 +
Fed Ex Priority overnight (in fed ex envelope) would be roughly $28

Hope this helps....I ship stuff all the time at my job :)

It's easy for me because I have a shipping chart printed out all nice and neat on an excel file. Fed EX, USPS & UPS don't really use zips as much as area "zones" So I look it up based on what zone Cleveland OH is in.

Besides, if someone already posted, I am happy to give the information that may help, whether they know how or not. ;)

Cira: I think your best option is Priority mail. It's $4.90 flat fee and will take about 2 days to reach you (depending on if you or the company's place is out in the sticks)
