I am blessed

To all my friends here at 3Reef, I would just like you to know that I had a heart attack on Sunday, May 2nd. I am sharing this because I didn't realize what was exactly happening and as a result got more damage to my heart than if I would have acted sooner. My pain and discomfort (which came on suddenly and gripped me) was in my upper back and shoulder blade area and then proceded into both arms and I had tightness of my jaws. I never really heard of that as relating to a heart attack. I knew of the "classic" symptoms as the grabbing pain in the chest, sweating etc. I had 100% blockage of the LAD artery; http://www.heartsite.com/html/lad.html

I had to get Angioplasty and a stint and a 2 day stay in the hospital. I am doing fine, other than the fact that they have me on 4 medications, but, hey as Johnny Winters says; "I'm still alive and well" and I say; "Thanks be to God!"

Thanks be to God indeed - so glad you felt you could share that here - please accept my good wishes to you. I have relatives who have experienced what you did and they all continue to live full and active lives.

I am glad to hear that you are "still alive and well"!! Thanks for sharing your unusual symptoms. It is very important to never ignore your body when something "just doesn't feel right". Now make sure you take the meds that your doctor prescribes and take care of your self!!!! We need you to provide us with your musical trips down memory lane.
