i got crabs again :)

i picked up some feeder crabs i know they are very nasty buggers ... or atleast i tihnk they are. they are feeder for my octopus and peacock mantis. just curious to know what they are? their legs are flat and they move really fast. on the invoice at the lfs they were running crabs lol.some have black spots on their legs and some have yellow.

they also stream water out of their mouths constantly its very funny to watch actually lol.

they dont run, they swim! The back legs are flat so they can propel themselves against the water pressure (fun nerdy tidbit) Anyway put the one for the octo in a screw top tupperware and watch it put it to the test lol.

 

hes tackled the jar already lol it take him about 3 seconds to open lol we have afew different lids to use with him . im just curious what they kind they are. my friend/gf thingamabob loves these guys and she hates feeding them to things lol.

i do gether alot of stuff lol.she gets mad cuz i spend so much on her.just got her a harliquin tusk fish i get her coral for her nano just not the 55gallon to many nippers. any idea on names of this crab?
