    Yall may have the same equipment, but every tank is different. It looks like a diatom bloom to me, which should subside in a week or 2 TOPS.. I know its ugly, but it should go away in time. Just try to be patient and it should go away. If it sticks around for any longer than that, then I would start to to extra measures.

    It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    If you used any new glass or plastic or even new sand you are going to get diatoms again.

    Yeah I would not worry about it too much - if in a few days it gets worse - then time to revisit the source. But this is common when adding new equipment into a system (even if it's used equipment)
