I've found two new hitchhikers in my tank today. Not sure what they've come in on. Any help with ID would be appreciated. I would like to make sure they are safe to keep.

Pic 1: Some sort of nudibranch. Might be an SPS eating nudibranch.
    Pic 2: Maybe a limpet.

Thanks. I think you're right about the those. Hopefully someone has some more info on the first one.

Zoanthid eating nudi in the first pic; not sure what you're trying to draw attention to in the 2nd pic.

Thanks Evolved. I have several zoas in my tank, so I definitely have to get rid of that nudi.

If the limpet is a keyhole limpet it is not considered reef safe.

If the limpet is a Diodora species, and I think it might be, it will probably feed on cryptic sponges and microorganisms from the bottoms of your rocks. The fleshy limpets, which usually have a visible, orangish mantle entended over the shell, are the ones that are most often implicated in cases of desirable things being eaten in the aquarium.

    Cheers,

    Don

Thanks for the info Don. Sounds like it's safe to keep for now. It seems to stay on the same rock.Just have to find that nudibranch now.
