    First picture looks like cyanobacteria.

What makes you think your RO/DI is doing that? Proper RO/DI water will certainly NOT contribute any nuisance nutes or anything like this - in fact it will serve to help PREVENT outbreaks like the one you are seeing . . .

Have you added or changed anything lately? What are your params? How old is the tank? Change flow patterns? Turnover Rate?

I put a great clean up crew from reef cleaners three wks ago.

This break out happened when I changed where I get my water from. Used to buy it then started making my own.

Do you have a TDS meter? If not, see if any of your LFS's has one that you can use to see if your RO/DI is working correctly.

If its a new RO/DI unit, your supposed to discard the first 10 to 15 gallons it produces. I dont know if that would cause the algae outbreak if you didnt, but its the only thing I could think of

I have a 90gpd from spectrapure. My tds meter out shows 0.00. My pressure on the other hand is very low at 20. I am in dire need of a booster pump.

Adjusting my flow directions are helping. This is a battle I'll win eventually.

Syphon out what you can and run rowaphos in a reactor or cheap HOB filter. That will deal with quickly.;)

I don't have a phosphate test. You believe that's the issue? Is that caused by RO unit?
