    Not sure what Im suppost to be looking at, but Im assuming its the red film on the LR. If so, thats red coraline(good). 2. Button polyps(excellent) 3. Microalgae( cant tell which one it is) 4. More Button Polyps(excellent)

    pic 1: i see a sponge and possibly an aiptasia (maybe a buton polyp) near the top of the photo...
    pic 2: Palythoas (aka button polyps)
    pic 3: some kinda macroalgae? (photo is very blurry)
    pic 4: small conch shell?...maybe a hermit in there (need a profile pic for a proper id)

    hi thanks for your help! the first pic the id item is at the top which i thought it might be a aipitsa but i had a load of them and they dont look the same. There is also another pic of it on the last photo, its just down to the left off the snail.

    the small shell resembles a cerith snail and button polyps I don't see no aptasia could be a button polyp!?! hard to tell from the pic I agree with the other id's

    Hey Guys,

    The little snail in the fourth pic isn't a cerith or a conch. It's either a buccinid or a murex, both of which are predatory. It could possibly be one of the more elongate Engina species (in the Buccinidae), but I think it's a variation of a common ergalataxine murex, Maculotriton serriale. I'm not sure what it eats, but it will most likely be small worms or other small snails. I'd guess that it won't be much of a problem in your tank, but if you see it attached to another one of your snails, you can assume it's not just being friendly.

    I was thinking aiptasia also. In the 4th pic it looks like there is some also.
