No it's some kind of shelless snail--it's body is soft and covers a small shell like structure underneath. I found a pic of one on wet web, they said that was what it was, but they didn't have a name for it.

That really is a cool looking snail, but I'm wondering, is it eating those mushrooms? Have you noticed anything chewed on or missing? Not saying there is anything wrong with that snail, I have no idea what it is or what it eats...... I'm just wondering.....:)

No, she is not eating the mushroom--she eats algae. I had just turned on the lights and she likes hide during the day, she was on the other side of the rock eating and crawled up and over the rock to get to the other side where there is a overhang. She crawled under it and stayed there all day. I took pics of the whole journey , 20 shots, this shot was shot 19. I wanted to get a pic of her face which you rarely get to see. Here are 2 more pics of the trip.

Beautiful snail pics. It is actually a fissurellid, or Keyhole Limpet, one of the species called a "Fleshy Limpet." It should belong to one of two genera, either Lucapina or Lucapinella. They are reportedly omnivorous, and some of them may feed on soft corals, although Dr. Shimek says they apparently don't normally feed on the species that most aquarists keep. Thanks for posting the pics,

    Cheers,

    Don
