    Word of advise............

When you drain your sump to do a water change, MAKE SURE YOUR HEATERS ARE UNPLUGGED.

What a freakin nightmare, I drained the sump and cracked both my heaters because I didn't unplug them, ugh.........tell me someone else has done the same thing so I don't feel so bad.

I did that (heater cracked), filled it back up and unfortunately didn't realize it until I noticed my fish swimming sideways. Killed a few of them and left a terrible stench in my tank. Had to do multiple water changes before the smell went away. Boy that was a bad couple days. Man I still feel stupid even after 10 years..

one time I was running two heaters, I unplugged one but took the wrong one out of the tank. I wrapped the cord around it and placed it on the carpet, the smell of melting rubber is what made me notice

I never broke my heaters but one time i was doing a water change in my 55 fw tank. Took out about 20 gallons and put the garden hose in to refill the tank. Something caught my attention and i left the hose running for about a half hour.
Had about 2 inches of water on the floor in my family room. Luckily we werent to attached to the rub because it was only about TWO WEEKS OLD!!!

Didnt go over well with the fam.
