In-line Heaters ??????????????????

    Does anyone have any information on in line heaters. Good or Bad.

    I for one am against them. I don't like adding anything other than a valve or two and a UV sterilizer to the plumbing. If my UV goes bad or the bulb needs replacement, no biggie, I can order online and wait. If an inline heater fails, you need to replace that immediately. Not to mention that they have small diameters which will limit flow. I currently use two submersible heaters in my sump and have two more as a back up.

    Makes since to me. So I am o.k. with putting the heaters in my sump and that will be o.k. and keep my temp good without having to put them in the main tank??

    Right, that is what just about every one does. I have my heaters in the skimmer partition of the sump
