Im getting ready to order the in tank fuge for my sea horse tank and I want to order lighting at the same time. Im not going to have any coral in the tank I just want enough power to grow some chaeto in the in tank fuge. The fuge is only 8 inches deep. Would a 65 watt 50/50 PC light do the trick?

sorry, i skimmed over the part that said in tank fuge.. Im sure a 65w 50/50 would work, but not nearly as well as something with a cooler color temp

Didnt realize cooler color works better on a fuge. Gonna have to change the bulbs out on my reef fuge now. I think Im gonna try some LEDs on the sea horse tank. I think one of these will work well since the fuge is so shallow.

I may also add a couple of these under water later:

Just depends how well the first light does. Should make for some interesting effects with the shimmer of LEDs.
