Im just wondering what should I have in my sump as far as live critters? I tossed in a few hermit crabs, I was thinking I could toss a piece of brine in to feed them, they are pigs, I just put them in the sump because I felt like I had too many in the DT and they were getting annoying. but should I add anything into the sump to help it, I have a BUNCH of mushrooms and star polyps in there that I don't want in my DT

With that I have another question what are some things OTHER than hermits I can add to my clean up crew? other than the normal snails.. emeralds cleaner shrimps...

I know there are certain types of worms that are beneficial to have. I'm assuming you have a sand bed in your sump. But I cant comment about them because I dont actually know lol. Also i know the little starfish are good too, I'm drawing a blank on their name. They live in live rock and poke their legs out at night. As for where you can actually get that stuff to add....I'm not sure.

The rock from my LFS literally has HUNDREDS of those little bristle stars. It's kinda creepy when there are hundreds of little arms sticking out from all over the rock lol.

As for the worms, I know theres more types than just the bristles. Garf.org sells refuge kits that come with pods, worms, snails, sponges, macro, etc. But they are a little pricey.

I've read crabs are not recommended for refugiums because they're considered predators in regards to the fauna you're providing refuge to. And sand-sifting starfish, also.

From what reefcleaners provides, snails (varieties) some hermints and a few OTHER inverts emcompass the vast majority of cleanup needs.
