    Gonna start using purple-up on a recomendation...anyone disaprove of this product?

    IMO con: Contains iodine. Unless you are testing for it and regulating it.

    heard good things, heard bad things... never used it

    If you want coraline to grow faster check your calc and mg levels and make sure their up to par

    its not necessary but if you dont feel like buying the additives seperately you can buy that instead. however i caution you against encouraging to much coraline growth its still a algae(a better looking algae but still an algae) and it will irritate the hell out of you once its taken hold and starts growing on your glass.

    If you have the need, I use essential elements from kent marine it raises all the elements not just one. btw you need to have some coralline in your system already for it to work!

    the major problem that I've heard is that when/if you stop using it, the coraline may die out because your tank doesn't have the necessary elements naturally. Besides that, ive heard fairly good things

    If you just keep your tanks parameter where they should be it will happen it self. It's a good sign of a healthy tank. Go and add chemicals and then you throw mother nature off. Kills me how many of you people are so damn impatience. You should of took up drag racing not starting a eco system.
