So I'm wanting to add a couple more shrimps/hermits to my display. I've been reading on this and some say no-need qt, and some say need. After a crazy outbreakof ich which wiped out all my fish, I really don't want that thing back in my display tank (which is fallow 7wks going). I've read they can't be hosts, but they could be cruising around in the bag of water or maybe attached to the shell or something. I've been reading about this transfer method to rid ich, which basically you keep moving the fish to different tanks daily or something for like 7-10 days and it should disturb life cycle. Reading on Wikipedia, this "…..stresses both fish and fishkeeper…." :D. So would this be to stressful for the inverts (shrimp/hermits)? Or is there some better method to QT shrimps/hermits? Am I being overly paranoid?

We also had a bad case of ick, but I wouldn't bother abt qt the inverts, just don't add the water from the bag to your tank!

I wouldn't worry about it either. I did the whole 8 week fallow thing to. As a general rule, you don't want any tank water from the bags that your animals are arriving in to be introduced to your system.
