Invert Tank

    also, since the 3 gal tank will basically have water sand and rock from mature tanks, will i still need to cycle it? ...prolly yes but...its an eclipse tank and im not even sure if that is a good tank to use as an invert tank :)

    Sure there is. Sexy shrimp are cool as are cleaner shrimp but they don't really "do" much but sit around and wait to be fed. You just have to decide what kind of animal you want and take it from there. You could also try a pistol shrimp/goby pair if you want to keep something interesting that doesn't require animal sacrifice. I have a pair in my 90 gallon and love watching them work together for the common good :)

    As for whether or not your tank will cycle if you use rock/sand/water from an existing tank, you can maybe expect a mini cycle but nothing compared to what you would if you were starting from scratch.

    ya, i was thinking of a decorator crab, can they be housed in a 3 gal?

    well...nvm guys...i just realized that my dad left the tank outside and how it has 2 cracks on it...it is acrylic and...they are inside the plastic not cracked on the surface...so im not sure if it is still safe...:(
