I am seriously considering the ipsf mix and match special. I have a question though, I have no sump at the moment so should I hold back on the pod kit? Also if I get the sand bed clams they will just die right? Any advice would be great.

Not sure about the clams but you don't have to have a sump to get the pod kit. You can start it in a seperate 5 gal bucket even. Just make sure you have the necessities like an air stone, thermometer, heater, etc.

The sand bed clams never lived all that long in my tanks. I'd skip them.
