For what its worth ? I'd not put a rug under or around the tank that could not be lifted and moved , I've seen it a million times it will get wet! it will get salt saturated ! and then it will just grind into the flooring.. Like the Car Bras ? Recall them supposed to stop the snouts of Vets and other cars from getting messed ! I never put one on my old LT-1 I had a buddy that did wore the paint out grit water and movement LOL car needed a gel coat when he pulled it one day LOL. Also with the stand on solid flooring if water was spilled then you can quickly wick it out and fan it dry with out a rug .. FYI for what its worth Its like carpeting in a bathroom ): Never was a good idea ..

Bare floor would be the best.

Yeah on the rug thing, I'm with you guys that and wood on wood looks good too plus I'm using the "but it will be impossible to level" card on the rug issue :)

on another note I was just at the LFS, they were feeding their fish and they had this gorgeous mandarin that was eating the frozen foods so for $25 I'm now acclimating a mandarin in my 24g lol

Tang I sent ya an email whenever you get a chance to get around to checking it out :)

Got my base rock this weekend, 90# of florida base from marcorocks.com and 30# of tonga shelf from bulkreefsupply.com
All the pieces made it mostly in 1 piece but I must say that I'm a bit disappointed with the shipping from marcorocks the boxes were in tatters when they showed up with rocks literally sticking out the sides and no padding or bags on them, the rocks from marcorocks were bagged, peanutted and the box wasn't "cheap"
Still waiting on the freakin stand, this weekend I did clean up my sump tank and picked up some acrylic so I can rearrange the waterflow through the sump to the way I want it so I can have the the fuge located in the same tank :)
