OMG it stinks so badly
Got the tank drained today, going to tear all the plumbing out and redo it, going to remove the fuge area of the sump and just use where the water comes out of the DT and do a high flow fuge, I'll just hang a light over it so I'm not having any unfiltered water what so ever plus that will open up a larger area to sit the skimmer and return pump

Going to also pull the tank out from the wall and paint the back while it's empty

 

ok pulled the tank/stand out tonight and taped it all up, got some paint at home depot, got 2 really thin coats on it right now and going to probably do another 5-7 before it's all said and done

 

well tank now is painted, I think the sand bed was part of this things demise also, I noticed it was always bubbling, was just deep enough to be a really bad nitrate source I guess, so I'm thinking I'm just going to put like 30 lbs of sand in it, I have the 100lbs of pukani rock cleaned and ready to go, also have my new pair of K4's just going to tear out the plumbing, taking out the Ca reactor and redoing the sump/fuge setup a bit will post pics when I actually start working more

 

well haven't updated in months so here is an update, nothing new lol, still sitting empty waiting to sell the house before I put water back in it

putting an offer on a new house tomorrow, we'll see how it goes, that will determine the schedule for getting this tank back up and running it's still sitting dry in the corner of the living room
