I was just looking around online and saw on live aquaria the lighting suggestions for different corals (low, medium, high) and I understand that these include T5 and MH fixtures. I was just curious is it possible to grow any sort of coral under a 24" 17W 10,000K Fluorescent light like this. reason I ask is I have one coming to me tomorrow hopefully and I don't plan on jumping in to corals for a while but if I wanted to give it a shot, would it be feasible? and has anyone on here done it? Thanks!

A single bulb, no I don't think so. I have grown Palys with a dual bulb (Ocean Sun 10k and a 50/50 actinic) T8 setup. However, they grew VERY, VERY slowly.

I usually go to a small shop on Minton Rd. The sign just says 'Tropical Fish' It's locally owned & he takes good care of his customers.
