I recently purchased(Wednesday) a BTA and I did my research before i got him. Just as a FYI, bought from a lfs, and they had it for a week. Looked very healthy and happy as in the pic below.
    This morning he looked normal:

Well now hes looking like the pic below. On Thursday, i fed him a piece of shrimp and he took to it very well. Today it looked as if he puked up brown stuff(im guessing digested shrimp). just want to see if this behavior is normal. He is still responsive to touch. My water parms are all in check. 1.0245 sal(getting up to 1.025) 8.2pH, 0 for nitrates, nitrites, and ammonia. Also ive noticed silk strands attached to the anemone and the LR and sand. Is this normal? Thanks for the time!

They sometimes close up when they poo, or something or the sort. How long has it been like that? Mine would sometimes take a day or two to come back to its bubbly self.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
It does not looks so hot to me, not the typical normal deflation I see. Some oral gaping and possible mesenterial filamints showing. I would watch him closely.

That brown stuff was most likely Zooxanthella, which, can be both a good and bad sign depending upon why.

Everyone seems to think water parameters as you measure them equate to the ability to successfully keep anemone's this is not the case. It's about stability- is your tank stable? Ph and nutrients mean a lot to these critters. As does lighting.

Check out some of the utube video's in where some of these anemone's live in waters that would kill most fish and coral- they are tough critters.

They survive even out of the water in some of the Aussie lagoons.

    just me being paranoid

I guess I was just being paranoid. I woke up this morning to him fully inflated at the top off his rock. he is now out of the bottom off that rock and seems very happy. As for my tank being stable, the only time there is any fluctuation is during water changes and it is very minute changes. My tank is well established and light with T-5 lighting. Looks like Atticus818 was right. Thanks again for the reassurance.
