Is there a difference??

Between aquarium safe and 100% pure silicone?? The reason being-my lps is 30 miles away,and my fabulous sea clone POS 100 sprung a leak where the pump tube and the bottom of the skimmer connect(o-ring not sealing)so i'm just gonna silicone it,but i don't want to drive 30 miles and spend $7 on a small tube when i can get 100% pure for $2 just up the street.I'm just starting up the tank so since i don't even need the skimmer yet, i was going to let it cure for mabey a week at least,i just don't want any future harmful effects. TIA

 

100% pure silicon will do just fine. That's what most people use for building sumps.
