    Just a quick question, is this a polyp or a zoa? Im not sure of the differences of the two. I bought the LR and then this started growing on it. Thanks for the info and sorry if its hard to see, the camera will not zoom in anymore than that.

    Looks to be a polyp to me.

    It could be a zoa to though since they are very similar.

    :) Yessums, they Look like regular ole button polyps to me.

    I think that is a palythoa

    What is the differance between a palythoa and a polyp? The palythoa can make me sick right?

    Both in theory cary neurotoxins if im not mistaking..

    Palythoas are just usually a larger polyped version of a zoanthid, I do believe the palytoxins are a bit harsher though.

    You should always be caution in the tank, whether there is something toxic or not. Just better practices. Try to always wear gloves. Powder free :)

    Lol ok thanks. Like I said this wasnt a purchase, just started to grow on morning. So with that being said it is also my first coral. :)
