The link didnt work, maybe get a photobucket account for pictures.

but if the stand is cracked i think i would replace it if it isnt something that can be repaired.

i am assuming that is the underneath of the stand adn that is the bottom glass of the tank. YES i would replace that. How long had you had the stand and whed did you first notice it? Is there any kind of leak from the tank that is causing the wood to weaken like that?

The problem with the way it is breaking is you can never be sure it will not get worse with time. Second, even slightest irregularity of the stand can cause added stress to your seams and will blow the seams of the tank out somewhere down the line! Trust me it is cheaper to replace now then later! Good luck

It's hard to tell from the picture. Is it 'Cracked?" or is the sap just retreating from the wood...... Salt has a very peculiar way of drawing any moisture out of wood, so if it's pine (which usually has a lot of resin left inside) then I think what I'm looking at in the picture is resin seeping out. If that's the case just keep it filled with sealant. But if it's definitely got a crack in it from what you can tell, then keep safety first. I think a better pic is needed for me to say definitely though.
