I'm getting back into the hobby and I used to have a ro/di water filter at my old house, but since then I've moved and no longer have it (or at least I can't find it).

I recently built a pond for koi in my backyard and I was wondering if this water would be perfectly find to mix the salt and use to start cycling my 75gallon tank.

I know no one uses tap water because of certain chemicals (esp. chlorine), but since most if not all the chlorine in my pond is gone, would it be fine? None of my koi are sick/disease carriers and are thriving highly so I believe the water is good if it can keep my koi healthy and growing. I don't add any chemicals or additives to the water either and my filtration system is good.

There's a pretty good chance the pond water contains organics that would become die off in salt water, not sure if this would be good to start a cycle.
