It's been a while since I posted in SW. I've been occupied with fry in my cichlid tank. My 10 gal nano reef continues to thrive. Some pix:

He's claimed the whole tank to himself?

No, he shares it with a Pencil Urchin, an Emerald Crab and 11 snails. He's the only one that can swim, though.

Teach the other to swim- then your Damsel can have a friend/s and playmates(hhhhaaaaaaahhhaahaaaa) No just kidding!
That is a nice little set-up you have!! Do you plan on adding any other fish or inverts or coral for that matter?

The damsel has been in the tank, alone, for a year. It would not like company at this point.

I add a coral every so often. Because it's only a 10 gallon I get frags and grow them. My colt was 1/2" tall when I got it, and I'm afraid it's getting too big for the tank now!

    Thanks for the kudos!

Very nice nano! How often do you do water changes?

Well, every two weeks is the average, but I watch and do one weekly if needed. My parameters are pretty solid, but with so much stuff I will deplete calcium and iodine fast, so I test and dose weekly. My modified Skilter skimmer works very well in removing stuff. Before the skilter I changed the water weekly.

I hear that about having to add supplements to my tank due to too many inhabitants. Try having Tridacnas as well...boy, do they filter everything out of my water! They are awesome and beautiful though! Sponges will also deplete trace minerls etc. quickly!
