Anyone know if JB Weld is safe for the tanks once its fully cured? Trying to fix a prop on one of my power heads and crazy glue just isnt cutting it.

Fully cured it should be fine, no different than the plumbers putty or quick stick people use to hold rock work in place. JB weld isnt all that strong though and hardly ever stays put for an extended period of time. What broke off on the prop? What materials need to be re attached?

Sorry, not familiar with the stuff, but have you looked into maybe just buying a replacement for the prop? It might be cheap (or it might be ridiculously expensive, just checking :) ).

Its actually the main almost shaft section of a Koralia. It has almost a spline thing that hooks into the magnetic shaft that spins the prop. The splines have worn down So the shaft spins without spinning the prop. So not so much as glueing two pieces together as having to securely fill a loose gap, if that makes any sense.
It's not a money thing I am worried about. Just that I wrote Koralia 3 days ago and havent even heard back yet. I am just looking to at least get it working in some degree until I can figure out if I can even get a new part or have to order a new pump.

If one part fits into the other part JB Weld will work just fine. Its not so much of a direct bond of two parts when they are made to fit together anyway. Alot of times when its applied to 2 pieces of something and then sandwiched together it tends to not bond or come loose after a short period. For your issue though I think it will work just fine. You could also try some of the 2 part epoxies sold in Home Depot and at auto parts stores. Same section as the JB weld, just as strong if not stronger and sets up pretty quick. Any of that stuff fully cured should have no effect on your tank.

I'm pretty sure that I read of someone using it to diy sumps. I would think that means it is safe.
