    A google search gave this:

General Information: A hardy aquarium fish, that prefers to be kept in groups if in a tank of over 100 gallons, and can be territorial. In smaller tanks, keep only one. Known for their beautiful shades of pink yellow and lilac. Also some lovely peach ones available.

Diet Requirements: A varied diet for zooplankton feeders, as well as mysid shrimp. Feed up to 4 times a day.

Compatability: Excellent in a reef tank and will get on with most community fish. Just remember it will be the male of this species that becomes aggressive, if it does happen.

Common Problems: If the "dominance" mentioned above does happen in a "group", there may even be fatalities in the group.

Well, added the Jewel Anthias to the display tank and as in true form that tiny little Cherub Pygmy is the agressor...He is quite the little bully...He is the smallest fish in the tank and he acts as if he were twice the size of the largest...LOL

The feeding of them several times during the course of the day is essential to their success and survival!

I keep a pair of lyretails in my 180 and only feed them flake foods once a day. Keep in mind that I have a big pod population so they're most likely feeding on them during the day as well. Lyretails and bartletts are two of the easier species of anthias to keep.

I have not had any success keeping anthias. Some have refused to feed... others have just pined away!! Make sure you keep them well fed and I've heard they tend to do better in a group environment!

The rule of thumb is one male to several females I believe.

    Good luck, beautiful fish!
