I have three little aptasias in my tank that I've been trying to get rid of. One of them I've fed Joe's to three times now and the others twice. The stuff has done some major damage to them but they always seem to come right back, albeit a whole heck of a lot smaller. Is there any treatment more effective than Joe's like boiling water or lemon juice?

people have had success with different things. aaiptasia-x has always worked for me , and its the same as joes. others have used the boiling water or lemon injected into the stalk and removed. others swear by peppermint shrimps. others berghia nudibranches . or copperband butterfly's. good luck with which other way might work for you.

ya the key with joes juice is right into the middle of them and they should shrivel up and die

Cover them up with super glue or reef epoxy.

Huh, never heard that one before. I'll have to try it. I was filling them up completely with Joe's and then I wouldn't see them for like a week and then, bam, they're back again. I'm not too keen on peppermints. I had one before and it just went after corals and copperbands are a little too big for my tank.

Do you mix the Joes' juice thoroughly? That stuff works phenominally.

A little bit of kalk paste or pickling lime paste such as Mrs. Wages dabbed directly onto the aiptaisa works nicely as well.

I inject a mrs wages kalk slurry into the bodies of them with a needle.

I also bought a copperband B fly and t destroyed my few aiptasia within a week of "finding" them.
