When my xenia was going strong it was bumping into my red mushroom all the time so I assumed it didn't like that and it let go! Then my very happy huge blue mushroom started to let go and that is when my urchin picked him up. Well tonight my Riccordia let go. I found it tried to put it in a cup with some rubble to reattach it but it went floating away behind the rocks so now it will just have to stay there unless it wants to move. Why would all my shroooms be moving and jumping ship. They were all in different areas of the tank. Some lower than others from the light all in a moderate amount of flow. The blue was in the least flow and least light. Riccordia in moderate light but higher flow than the rest. The red highest light, moderate flow but it left behind 2 "babies" that are still stuck and seem very happy. All parameters that I test for are fine! It isn't happening at the same time as a water change or anything happening in the tank! Any ideas? I have 2 superman shrooms, and 3 red shrooms in different areas that I am worried about.

Mushrooms do that. They may feel crowded, may not like the flow or light intensity so they will just up and move.
I wouldn't worry about it tho, they are fairly indestructible, and even when they dont look happy, they are normally just fine.

They don't actually move like anenomes. They let go of the rock they are attached to and let the current take them other places. Then one day you look in the tank and you will see them somewhere else.

Yeah! some where that you can't see them usually! PITA as far as I am concerned. Bought a really cool Red/Purple and Blue Mushroom and it now resides at the bottom of a cave, getting its light from the back of the tanks.
