    seriously, why is it that when those of us dont want it we get it, but those of you that want it, you dont get it, my sister was the same way, but then of course after she moved out of state she got a notice to serve here in california, but since she moved she didnt have to serve

    hahaha ill deffiently have to look everything over

    and for those who live outside of the U.S. you guys are sooo lucky you dont have to do jury duty

    You call the day prior and it tells you if your group needs to show up the next day. You do this all week.

    Been called up 6 times and not once did I even make a "come in" list :)

    ugh i hope i get as lucky as you, i mean it would be nice not to have to go into work, but id rather go into work than serve

    how do you let your work know, do you just tell them your on jury duty all week?

    My work pays for jury duty, so I go whenever called upon. If it was a financial hardship, I'd think twice. Most successful way of getting out of it is to fax it in instead of call.

    that's so nice you can call first!! Ours you show up at 8am, and sit in a room allllll day with a bunch of other people. Someone comes out and reads off names. If your name was read you go back to be on a panel, but if not you just keep sitting in the room allll day. And you do this for 2 or 3 days!!

    My county does not allow faxing in. Calling is the only option.
