Just ordered from Reefcleaners!!

I finally got my cleanup crew ordered from reefcleaners! i havent had a cleanup crew at all in my aquarium. i can find fish poop in my tank easily because i have nothing to munch on it. this is why i think my params are off too. so hopefully i can counter this with mangroves chaeto and numerous types of snails! well just thought id tell ya! it will ship wednesday and hopefully be here friday or saturday! cant wait!

most of mine is gone except the hermits which I consider the power houses of the CUC. I felt like the ceriths didnt last very long idk why. Good luck tho Reefcleaners does an awesome job.

i still have some snails (5 of 7 ) that i originally got as a "cleanup crew" (lfs told me 7 snails and 5 hermits would do the job) from the lfs. only 2 hermits are left. im looking forward to wathcing the mangroves grow though.

 

Make sure you get plenty of extra shells or the hermits will kill snails for shells.

 

how many shells should i need for hermits. john only said 4 hermits. so four shells? or how many?

 

ugh i cant wait for the mangroves! i dont know why but thats the part i most want.

 

im guessin the hermits will already come with a shell. dont think they can be ship naked. lol. but you can always get some larger shells for them to move into once they grow. or they might evict a snail, and leave them naked.

 

Divott-I think the correct term for a naked snail is dead, lol. j/k

Gexx-Mangroves are def pretty cool. Watching the roots grow is really neat (sounds lame but true). They grow so fast.
