    ok today i bought a snowflake eel from my lfs for my reef they fed him before i got him. i got him home and he puked up a dead fish well whats strange is my brittle stare was all the way across the tank and must have smelt it and spinted across the tank and eat it whole i never seen that before or knew it ate dead fish is that normal?

    I don't know if that is normal but I do know that a snowflake eel is NOT reef safe :eek:................ John

    i was told is is and all the things i read say it only eats crustations and not anemones or corals

    It wont eat corals but it may knock them over and eat any small fish and crustations you may have. They are not recommended for reef tanks............. John

    well my wife liked the eel and wanted it so when she lets me buy something ill take advantage of it lol

    by the way here is what i have in my tank now. 1 lta, 1 condy, 1yellow tail damsel, 1 clarks clown large, 1 large brittle star, 2 peperment shrimp whitch im sure is food now but i got them for free. and probably only 10 pounds of live rock. in a 75 gal tank. i know your gonna say what kind of reef tank is that. lol im new

    Brittle and serpent stars are carnivores so its behavior is perfectly normal :)
