    Kaianuanu's 55g FOWLR

Hi guys, I'm just showing off my 55g that i've had running for about 3 or 4 months now, and it's inhabitants. I'd also like to share that a month ago i had my first algea bloom and my glass was covered in brown algea. Asfter the bloom, i still had some algea on the glass, so i got a school of 2.5" finger mullet to take care of it, and they had it spotless in a few hours. So, what do you think?

You are in desperate need of more live rock.

Oh yeah, it's only 15 pounds, but do i really need more? For water quality, or hiding places?

Yea, like another 30 pounds at least, for bio filtration. Especially with all of the fish in there. Hiding spots will make fish more comfortable as well. Makes the tank more interesting to look at as well. :)

Good idea, once your tank has cycled and you drop base rock in, it will become live rock soon enough. No need to waste money on live rock that has nasty hitchhikers, just get some cool looking pieces of base and you're set. Nice trigger too, by the way :)

I love that trigger to death, he is especially cool to me just because in hawaiian it is called a humuhumunukunukuapua'a. Many people think that this refers to piccasso tiggers but that is false. that misconceptionn is also why they call piccasso's humu humu's or incorrectly, huma huma's.

hey, can someone confirm with me that porcupine puffers are only poisonous if they are ingested?

Base will do just fine. Good advise. What kind of goby is that and do you have a better pic.

I'm not sure about the goby. I caught him myself on a peice of shrimp on a tiny hook, the same method for the snappers too.
