Say 1 interesting fact about aquariums and get karma!

Mine: Dont try and fix mh lights when there is water on the power strip, while the power is on and while there is no covering on the wires :)

When your testing out something and there might be a change it might spill water all over ... always keep the electrical plug in your hands NOT on the floor mixed up with all the rest of the wires. ;) (personal experience :-/ )

Never think "I'll be satisfied with 4 or 5 fish and some decorations in the tank"

If you don't have a float valve don't forget you turned on the valve to the ro unit to refill the sump. That hasn't happened to me before  break out the wet vac.

After cleaning your Beckett skimmer remember to turn down your air intake.
    or
you will end up with your skimmer basically draining your tank.

Sorry this hapened last night so it's fresh.

Make sure all the lines running to and from your tank are secured, so you don't wake up at 5 am wondering what that gurgling noise in the living room is... (My friend lost about 12 gallons of his 90 onto his carpet... not good)

Don't use the same circuit breaker for your tank and furnace! (Especially since the furnace can and will turn on when you're not at home; popping the breaker, partially draining the tank, killing the MH lights, ultimately causing you and your fish much stress!)
