    Ok guys,

Here are some questions. Each person to answer them will get a nice karma boost from me! Karma only goes to first to answer...and maybe to people who add :).

    1. How and why does night/day effect pH.

    2. What exactly changes when pH is lowered and raised (Acid=more or less?)

    3. How do you say Cnidarians. Is the C silent?

    4. How (Chemically) do pH raising and lowering products work.

    This is all for now!

    1. How and why does night/day effect pH.

"The concentration of CO2 in the water would tend to affect the PH. Because plants take in CO2 during the day and release it during the night, pH levels in water can change from daytime to night."

    2. What exactly changes when pH is lowered and raised (Acid=more or less?)

"The activity of Hydrogen atoms in the water"

    3. How do you say Cnidarians. Is the C silent?

    "The C is silent" .... ni-dar-e-n

    and last but not least:

    4. How (Chemically) do pH raising and lowering products work.

"When calcite is present in the water, carbonates can be released, increasing the alkalinity of the water, thereby raising the pH. When sulfide minerals are present in the water, water and oxygen interact with the minerals to form sulfuric acid. This will tend to drop the pH of the water."

    1. Night/day cycle affect pH when Co2 enters the water.

    2. pH below 7 is acidic and above 7 is base.
