I am having an problem with my KH and it will not stay at one point, it keeps going down. No matter how much Kent Marine Part B I add it will rase it up for about a day and then go back down. Now it is at 7. I just now added Kent Part B. I was told that I had a magnesium problem so I purchesed the Kent Magnesuim but I was not positve on how I should dose that; Should I do it every day for a certain amount of time or like once a week? Also I was not positve on putting both the Magnesium and the Part B in at the same time. It is a 29 Gallon Oceanic Biocube. My Corals are Brain Coral, Xenia, Candy Cane Coral, and a Mushroom Rock.

If some one could let me know what I should do about this let me know.

    Thanks:confused:

Have you tested your mag first?

well I use redsea mag test kit, some people don't like it but I have never had a problem with it, there are others which I sure somebody can chime in about those.
I keep my mag around 1500 some keep it higher some lower but you defiantly want to test for it before dosing it.

Mag basically controls alk and cal so getting that right first will help you keep them in check. here is a good read on cal and alk:

Just buy a good Mg test kit. Seachem, Elos, Salifert, Tropic Marin all make good test kits. Test your Mg levels, then get it up to the 1300-1500 range, depending on what your personal preference is. Then test your Ca levels, then get it into the 380-480 range. Then test your KH and get it into the 7-14 range, all depending on what you are after. Each level has to be proportional to the others though.
Personally, I have a Mg at ~1450, Ca at ~480 and KH at ~14. I keep the levels high for my clam, since it needs calcium.

I am with TM. I like Salifert and Elos. I keep my levels at 1500, 480 and between 12 and 14.
