I was talking to one of my buddies today and he was telling me that he used to keep tanks also.In his 55g tank he added a few little crabs. Then one morning he woke up to find all of fish floating.Having no clue what had happened he ran the normal waters tests and at the time realized the water was hot.So he searched the tank over to find that one of the crabs had climbed up the heater to get out of the water and while up there managed to use his claws to turn the temperature knob up therefore frying his fish and the crab survived cause he would not get back in the water.I thought this to be somewhat comical but at the same time a learning experience dont let any animals climb on your heater.

I find that to be quite far-fetched.

I put my crab in the refugium. Now I am going to have to move the heaters out.
