Electric blue hermits get larger than the standard blue leg hermits.

Even a large one would have trouble catching a healthy fish. Just look how hard it is for us to catch them with a net. It could happen but I would look else where first. I have always had hermits and never lost a fish to one.

I did a thread on here last year, I have a electric blue hermit, that I though and bought as a blue legged hermit, I watched him "ambush" a anthia and grab her, I tried to intervene and he pulled her into a rock cave.
Heis almost 2" across (shell) and 3 years old, when I put new snails or hermits in. The tank, they all "die"

I disagree. If you haven't experienced it then its hard to understand. Predators in a confined tank can catch whatever they want, especially hungry. Not to mention if there relaxed in the night as that's when this happened.

I've noticed the same thing, snails disappear. Im positive it was a hermit if not the same one. I had 2 in there well at 2" if not more. I can't get over the grip this thing has.

Mine appears to have 1 very large pincer that it appears to drag.

I always fed mine with small chunks of raw fish or shrimp. Even reef-safe critters will become opportunistic if they get hungry enough.
