Killing a fish...

Oh yeah a Foxface getting aggressive towards a hand in the water is one of the freaky things about a SW aquarium. They can really do some damage if they want to.

 

ohh jeez man, I've been here a few times and it is NOT easy, i feel your pain buddy, sorry to here about that. People say fish are just fish, but its hard to say its a fish when you can feed it by hand and every time you walk up it comes right out like a puppy...

Well just to give an update the tang did go... rather unexpectedly I might add. I knew he got ick a lot but I didn't think it was bad. I found him the other morning sucked to the intake for my HOB filter. Unfortunately, after his death I have ordered $300+ worth of stuff for the tank so I'm not giving up just yet! I got new MH bulbs on the way, new powerhead, setting up an ATO, new RODI cartridges, Otty is bringing over a reactor, got a good skimmer going, gonna test tomorrow, trying to do the whole 9 yards to find what is wrong. I think the skimmer might be the difference maker, I had too many fish in there for no skimmer I think. I will keep everyone updated and try to keep my spirits up!:

It's up and running now, just a little collection so far but it is only day 2. Hopefully by the end of the week it will be kicking a%^!! My SG is up to 1.024 now. It dipped down to 1.022 after I added the skimmer then topped of with rodi water. My next thing is getting KH up from 8.3 to about 11. Nothing I have found has been a big deal, I just want the skimmer good and broke in and everything perfect before I add another fish here in a couple weeks.

Waiting for shipments is almost like watching paint dry!!
