Hi i want to get 2 new koralias (2 or 3) for my 75 reef tank, right now i have 2 aquaclear powerheads but they suck since they are constantly throwing a lot of bubbles, and i have tried to clean them or doing anything to try to stop them of throwing bubbles but it wont stop. So any reviews i can get on the koralia powerheads, or any other that you recomend. THANK YOU.

I love koralia's, about the only reasonably priced powerhead I would use

Koralia's for sure. I have about 6 of them for my tanks. Does anyone use these for on/ off wave motions? I heard that the motors cant handle on/off all the time?

I really like my 2 Koralia 1.. I did have 1 just stop working because it had some debrie trapped in it, so I recommend you rinse them regularly to clear out any debrie, algae, etc.. as with any powerhead.

    Here are my 2 pennies....

Koralia's seem to have hit a chord with reef enthusiasts and hobbyists alike, they are GREAT powerheads and for the price, excellent quality. BUT in my honest opinion, they don't seem to put out as much flow as advertised, if you look on marine depot's reviews there are a ton of people who said they wished they had gotten a size bigger, and I honestly feel the same way. I have the Nano's and the #1's and i don't really know if they are putting out as much flow as was advertised. That said I am extremely happy with the flow dispersion compared to the jet stream coming out full force like older powerheads. I have been extremely happy with them and have seen better polyp extension as compared to using older pumps.

I have a 2 and a 1 in my 30 gallon and they work great, I love them for my small-scale application and for the cost. They have great wide/turbulent flow for the money.

If you want control/wavemaking I believe you have to get the more expensive ones which takes away some of one of the best advantages they have over the Tunze/Vortechs, although they are still a bit cheaper.

I have a K2 in my 55 and I like it. So far it is reliable and does move some water. Not the super direct flow that my Seio does but if I needed that I'd just add the hat to it that came with it.
