I just picked up this fish from the LFS. It's my first "big" fish in the tank, now having been up and running for about 10 months. Any advice for helping this guy out, especially regarding feedings?

    TIA

I can see from the picture that he's starting to morph into his adult coloration. It's a good idea to make sure to add extra vitamins and HUFA's during this period. They can actually get stuck in the "teenage" coloration and then they will be ugly for the rest of it's life. Adding sponge to their diet is good too or at least a food that contains sponge like Ocean Nutrition Angel Diet.

Can they really get stuck in those colors?
And.... can't tell if you're serious. I like the juvenile colors best.
    Awesome fish.

Wasn't joking. They can get stuck. But with diet and environment improvements, they can get "unstuck" too. We took over an 800 gallon tank at a childrens hospital. Their Koran was full size and had it's "teenage" coloration for several years according to management. It also had flukes and HLLE. I took it back to our QT warehouse and it got healthy. It is now resuming it's changing of it's colors.
