Well after much thinking I have finally redone my aquascape to make room for quite a few new sps corals. I removed several large pieces of live rock from my system that had large amounts of zoas, mushrooms, or other misc soft and lps corals. I got rid of my large montipora cap that was taking up a good 1/3 of my tank to free up some space. Here are a couple before and after pics.

I picked up quite a few new corals from Procorals.com I must say these are some of the healthiest corals that I have ever been shipped and have been very pleases with the overall corals recieved. I purchases a 8 frag pack and also picked up a couple ora corals from my lfs to fill in a little of the space.

Ora Pearlberry, This coral came no longer attached to the frag plug but seems to be doing good.

Please excuse all of the really blue pics, these were taken with only my actinics on so I was unable to get the true colors of most of these corals, but the color is really good on most even considering the shock from shipping.

Thanks, I really like that Sony dslr even with the original lens it still takes some good pics after you get it set up right.
I look foward to seeing some growth without all the chemical warfare I was getting when I tried to keep it a mixed reef.

Hmmm...I like the new scape. But what happened to the prize-winning Monti caps? :p

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
For the purposes of going all sps, I like the second scape better. Once it grows in I am sure you will be happy with the results. Congrats on the new frags, all very nice.

Monti are nice but I agree they can chew up some space for sure. I have a 30gl which my purple monti has consumed. I have broken it down into multiple pieces and will be fragging it out completely so I also can go to an all sps.

I think as yogi berra might say 90 percent of the enjoyment of this hobby is half buying new stuff, and half watching it grow and the rest is thinking about what we want next.
