    Hi there. I already have an old tank thread for my past systems. But it was brought to my attention i should make a new thread for my new Lagoon

    so here we go..

    This tanks inhabitants were all transferred over from my 120g.. Anyway..

    Lagoon

    Total System Volume - 280g
    Display - 90g TRUVU Acrylic 48x36x12
    Sump/Fuge - 100g
    Apex Aqua Controller

    Lighting
    Current USA Outer Orbit 2x150w MH, 4xT-5
    48" Blue Reef brite

    Few skimmers
    Lots of live rock and Macro Algae in the sump.
    Mangrove Trees to be added to sump next week

    How do you get a 280g system from a 90g display and 100g sump though?

    oh i forgot to add, this system also has an identical prop tank located right next to it..
    I have a serious sps addiction and i don't like little frags hanging around the display. ha

    Wow. I really mean it when I say, your tank is one of my favorites I've ever seen on 3reef. I love big shallow tanks like yours. I mean.. Thats what reefs in the ocean actuallyyy look like haha. It really brings back some memories.

    I probably should run a calcium reactor but i've just always been a fan of 2 part so the system runs on BRS 3part dosed throughout the lights out period to help maintain stable pH in the dark.


    Wow, thank you, i really appreciate it. Thats exactly what i was going for with this setup, I wanted it to look as natural as possible and i am obsessed with viewing my corals from above so this is working out perfect. ;D

    Love this tank. I had a tru-vu show tank - what is your trick to not scraping it?
