This is the first I've ever seen of this guy, which is suprising because I feel like ive seen him a lot today! Any ideas? I've never introduced any type of crabs into my tank, and he's pretty big for something i've never seen before, maybe an inch or more?

pull him out and toss him in your sump, if you have a good spot for him. He will probably eat any food that makes its way down there.

We had one like this. It chopped a garden eel into two pieces!!! We were devastated. If you can see the LR it escaped into, just pull it. We had some serious carnage before it was finally out.

We have had 3 of these guys show up in our tank on live rock. He looks like a gorilla crab, we fed him small pieces of fresh shrimp on a feeder stick. He can harm other fish so I would probably put him in your sump or see if anyone else wants him, they are pretty cool looking. We gave ours away to a friend rather than kill him. To get him out all you have to do is if he is on a rock pull the rock out , put it in a bucket or sink and pour fresh water on the area he is at. He will come out of rock and you can catch him with a net....Good Luck;)
