my lawnmower blenny looks like he is gonna die soon. and i just got him like 3 weeks ago. could it be because he does not have enough of the right algea to eat? what else cleans algae as well as a lawnmower blenny? cause they rock.

Suppliment its diet with nori sheets. Works like a charm and keeps them happy and fed.

You know, I had a lawnmower. Cool little fish, you know, doin' the "fish thing" all day & what not. Would've been better if the little sucker did his job though!!!! Don't know what all the hoopla about lawnmowers & algae is all about because that fishy never ate any algae....or nori, or lettuce, or broccoli, or parsley, or nori chips.
He would hang around for feeding time & grub what all the other fish were eating. :-[

Weird! Mine when I had him would eat all day and down shrimp and nori and flake and pellet food like it was nothing.

Starry blenny. A friend recommended this guy to me after losing two lawnmower blennies. Starry blenny is very similar to lawnmower except color (even cooler if you ask me). Starry does the algae cleaning job as good as lawnmower and will be more acceptable to prepared food.
