leaf fish build!

im working on my 10gal so it will become a leaf fish tank. they dont move much and are really skinny so they dont need much room. i dont know if i have the ammount of flow i like so i might add another HOB filter for added movement and for chaeto. here are the pics!

 

most of the material will be ordered from reefcleaners.org (great site, great prices) i am ordering mangroves (10) red gracilaria, and 5 lbs base rock from them.

 

already an update. i put the other HOB filter on the tank. works like a charm. it moves more underwater than the other.

 

What is that on the HOB waterfall thungy, anyway, you decided leaf fish, expensive fish but I don't blame ya!

their really old HOB filters lol. im gonna run a double dose of carbon just incase something came in on them.

 

I don't know anything about leaf fish, but they sure look cool!!

 

yea their amazing. i ordered everything from reefcleaners. hopefully he still has that tube anemone. researched those a bit and sounded like it would be fine in the 29 gal reef. too bad the clowns wont host it though. i got the red gracilaria because it sounds cool and hopefully the leaf fish will turn red in my tank with that in there.

 

They change color? That would be really neat to see!

 

yea when i get it im gonna take a pic of it then after it changes (hopefully it will) so that should be cool. im hoping that i can get a small one 1-2 inches so i can see it grow up. and those would be easier to get on frozen (mysis is easier than krill) so i cant wait!!

 

they shed, change color, and are ambush predators. i cant wait to get him but it wont be for a while.
