Like I said before, we can agree to disagree. I'm not even stressing it.

Don't take it the wrong way, but it was my decision. I'm not going to have a pissing contest about this. All I did was post an update and that was it. Not have a debate on what installation is better. If I ask for advice then fine, I'll take the criticism. I value everyone's experience on here, but let's not start throwing years of this and years of that. Yes we now know your old. LOL. Just kidding my friend. Can we put this to rest. ;)

Hey AZ on a secondary note, I did read your thread on bulkhead instructions, nice write up.. I do though have a question. How do you stop the bulkhead from spinning, even after tightening it?

More than one occasion this has happened and I didn't want to over tighten it and run the risk of breaking glass. Thus I simply siliconed for added the protection.

I don't seem to have this problem with acrylic though.

    Just curious. :)

I prefer threaded bulkheads so I screw a PVC fitting into one side or the other to use as a handle to hold it steady while tightening. If the bulkhead is accessible, which they never seem to be, you can use a strap wrench to hold it without messing up the threads too.

What I do is put the return and drain plumbing in the bulkheads, twist/hold the plumbing while someone else twists the nut. When the tool that comes with plumbing kits slips off, the nut should be tight and bulkhead won't twist. Also, sometimes the threads in bulkheads had flaws that make getting the nut past a certain point a pain because it does twist the bulkhead and not tighten properly. Before I install any bulkhead, I hake sure the nut spins all the way to the flange easily, then off again.
